Background
e-Learning and Business Solutions (eLABs) was established, as an Egyptian NGO early 2003, as an initiative of a group of distinguished e-Learning content & system development firms. eLABs’ founders, some of which have more than a two-decade experience in educational and multimedia software development, as well as general IT solutions, shared a unified vision that makes it necessary to focus collective efforts, in order to attain the critical mass required to enable member companies to enjoy economies of scale, while maintaining individuality and independence. Building on the creative, technical and business experience and resources of its members and the synergies that can be achieved, eLABs is capable to serve its members, develop collective & innovative distribution channels, undertake national large-scale e-Learning projects, which can not be targeted by individual member companies and help such members to exploit regional opportunities and meet global challenges. eLABs philosophy in “compete and cooperate” ensures that industry quality standards and economies of scale can be attained yet giving the consumer the freedom of choice between competing offerings.
Vision
eLABs aims at becoming the leading ICT Business Representative Organization (BRO) in the region of the Middle East, through enabling its member companies upgrade and grow their businesses utilizing innovative & collective distribution channels, common resources, synergies and economies of scale. eLABs aspires to contribute to the advancement of the ICT industry and the process of social, cultural and economic development in Egypt and the Middle East region.
Mission
eLABs exits simply to serve its members and help them attain growth, profitability and global competitiveness. eLABs also aims at developing the industry, improving quality standards, providing a better service to customers and the community at large.
Objectives
  • Establishing Industry Quality Standards;
  • Creating new business opportunities for members locally, regionally and internationally;
  • Helping to modernize the business practices as a part of the cultural and social development required for the region to meet global challenges;
  • Developing innovative and collective distribution systems locally and regionally to help members grow their sales and exports; and
  • Achieving collective cooperation between member companies enabling them to undertake large scale ICT projects locally and regionally.
